administrative reform
(Georgetown administration)
-
Negotiate with Georgetown’s administration to appoint a student representative to the Board of Directors. This representative must have partial-to-full voting power and the ability to report meeting agendas and minutes with the GUSA executive.

-
Reform the administrative hierarchy, policies, and leadership positions within GUPD.

-
Move to implement the GUPD Climate Survey that first developed under the Francis-Olvera Administration. This should take a similar form to what was outlined in the GUAPA Senate Resolution.

-
Demand more accurate, direct, and immediate budgetary updates from the University at-large to the GUSA executive. These updates must include breakdowns on which programs and projects are supported by undergraduate tuition and semester launch plans.

-
Transparency is non-negotiable in all communications between Georgetown’s administration and undergraduate students. High-level administrators must be consistently accessible (within reason) to attend meetings, provide updates, and clarify administrative action. Any major changes of policy must be publicized to the Georgetown community as soon as possible. Structural adaptations and the responsibility of dealing with COVID-19 must be felt by the entire administrative hierarchy, not primarily by students or lower-level staff.
